Party Tips

Water
Don’t forget water on the bar, either buy a 5 litre cask or use a couple of jugs with fruit to decorate, stack some plastic cups next to it for self serve. This avoids the obvious “can I have a glass of water please” and you needing to go into the kitchen.
Plastics V Glassware Hire.
Plastics: costly but simple, if you buy the short stem wine you can use it for all drinks and as its short it doesn’t topple over either.
Glassware: some companies will require you to wash all glasses on return or they charge on top of the hire fee, this makes clean up time longer so when they say FREE GLASSWARE, check on the conditions. IF our staff are serving your party then you can pay them extra time to do the clean up if required.
Staff Arrival Time:
We recommend our staff arrive Thirty Minutes after your invite time, in the mean time have a few chips and nuts for the on time arrivals, make sure you put your oven on prior so they can cook up straight away.
How Much Food?
Remember a party starting at noon, three or six P.M means your guests will be hungrier so increase your pieces to 12 P.P/
Bar Tips
Serving beer, wine, champagne may seem cheaper but if you add a bottle of sprit (scotch) plus mixer per 40 guests you can halve your beer purchase.
Smoker Tips:
Don’t forget the smokers, you are sure to have some, leave a designated area for them under cover with ashtrays if your house is non smoking, and avoid butt throwers.
Cake & Toast:
Best time to do this is at 10:00 P.M when all guests are there and not leaving yet. A 21st function could take up to 40 minutes. If you don’t want to do it, we say DO IT, guests love a good toast and a sweet hit is great at that time. When choosing a cake if you choose a choc mud you don’t need plates and forks as it cuts onto a napkin for finger service. CUTE CAKE LINE of the month: 40h NO!! Oh yes!
Gift Table:
Designate a private area for your gifts on arrival, simply put them away when you get them.
